In 1996, I opened a small Studio in Cincinnati’s Over-the-Rhine. No investors. No trust fund. Just a camera and a relentless need to tell the truth through images. I came up shooting street photography. Real people, real moments, no filters.
My style is photojournalism, my canvas is the city. I lived for the unplanned, the imperfect, the honest frame that said more than words ever could. Eventually, people started noticing. Galleries, homes, and businesses began buying my work. I built a reputation — not with ads or gimmicks — but by showing up, staying late, and delivering something nobody else could. A raw, high-end, emotionally charged image that hit you in the chest.
That’s how Luxe & Art was born. We didn’t enter the wedding world to blend in.
We came to flip the script.
At that time, wedding photography was trapped in tradition. Same poses. Same places. Same tired formula. And then we saw the shift before anyone else recognized it. So we brought our style of photo journalism to the altar. Two shooters, two distinct eyes, capturing the chaos and beauty exactly as it unfolds.
No cheesy setups. Just real people, real love, real moments. Rain or shine. We’re not here to brag about what magazine featured us last year or the year before that. We’re here for today. Because your story deserves more than a cookie cutter setup.
We’ve survived 29 years in this game by being creative, disciplined, and unapologetically ourselves. At Luxe & Art, we don't clock out when the timeline says so. We don’t rush. We don’t miss the moment. We stay until it’s right because that’s how great stories are told.
